HRAFF’s Programming Director Malcolm Blaylock was in Berlin, Amsterdam and Copenhagen last month to connect with his international counterparts and scout films at Interfilm, IDFA, and CPH:DOX festivals.
At Interfilm in Berlin, Malcolm served on the International Jury for the online award, Confrontations – against violence and intolerance. Short film Shok was awarded the top prize, followed by second runner up The Culprit, and in third place Lookout.
2015 is the third year HRAFF has attended the European film festivals, with past trips resulting in securing films Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story and Pervert Park from CPH:DOX, and Of Men and War, and I will Not Be Silenced from IDFA.
IDFA, the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam, presents a diverse selection of the world’s best creative and cinematic documentaries.
CPH:DOX, the Copenhagen International Documentary Film Festival, is the third largest documentary film festival in the world and is dedicated to showcasing independent and innovative non-fiction filmmaking.
